Andre Mercer County CC CO'29
1. What first sparked your interest in your major? Was there a specific moment, class, or person that inspired you?
I have always considered myself an analytical person. When I was younger, I read many science books, and my mom taught me some chemistry while she was attending Mercer. Since then, chemistry has been my favorite subject.
2. What do you hope to do with your degree in the future? What kind of impact do you want to make?
I hope to go into the pharmaceutical field and work on improving the effectiveness of medicine. I want to help people in their daily lives by making the medications they need more reliable and effective.
3. What did you struggle most with throughout the college application?
The FAFSA process was the most difficult part for me because it was confusing. Other than that, the application process was smooth and manageable.
4. What advice would you give to someone just starting their college application?
It can be stressful to think about not getting accepted into a dream school. I would recommend researching a variety of colleges and keeping backup options in mind. Sometimes those schools turn out to be an even better fit.
